A MISCHIEVOUS 1930s-style Mickey Mouse is the unlikely star of a new Wii-only game due for release late next year.

Looking to reinvent the House of Mouse's most famous character, epic Mickey pits the wise-cracking rodent against the evil Phantom Blot and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, an earlier Walt Disney creation who resents Mickey's subsequent rise to superstardom. Set in a world populated by discarded Disney characters, Mickey has to bring a splash of colour to the devastated wasteland - by wielding a magical paintbrush - and even battle robotic versions of Donald Duck and Goofy.
