A family of independent schools in Saffron Walden and Cambridge are aiming to raise £20,000 in one week as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

The first £10,000 in donations given between midday on Tuesday, November 28 and Tuesday, December 5 will be doubled, thanks to support from Costello Medical and Reed Educational Trust Ltd.
Donations raised will support the Stephen Perse Guild Opportunities Fund, which supports bursaries for children and young people to access an education at a Stephen Perse school - which includes Dame Bradbury's Junior School in Saffron Walden.
Richard Girvan, principal of Stephen Perse Schools, said: "I want to thank our community for their continued support and very generous gifts."
