A teaching assistant at R A Butler Academy in Saffron Walden has been named Essex Teaching Assistant of the Year 2023.
Jax Jackson was nominated by a parent whose son she has supported over a number of years.
The parent who nominated Mrs Jackson praised her for her "tireless motivation", helping her son fulfil his potential, gain confidence and achieve above expectations in maths and science.

Mrs Jackson said she was "grateful and overwhelmed" to receive the award, adding "I am indebted to the training and support that I have received from my colleagues".
Headteacher Emma Vincent said: "This win is much deserved, we are so pleased to see Jax’s dedication, patience and kindness rewarded.
"A huge congratulations from us all!"
