Air ambulance lands in Newport after man goes into cardiac arrest

Emergency services were called to Bury Water Lane in Newport yesterday after receiving reports of a man falling into a cardiac arrest.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust said: “At 12.29pm we received reports of a man in his 50s falling into a cardiac arrest in Bury Water Lane, Newport, Saffron Walden.

“The East of England Ambulance Service Trust dispatched a community first responder, a fire co responder, an ambulance crew, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene where they cared for the patient and transported him by air to Basildon Hospital for further care.”
