After their huge sell-out success of the musical Made in Dagenham in March, Saffron Walden Musical Theatre Company is looking for new members for their production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, a musical comedy based on the 1988 film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin.

With music and lyrics by David Yazbek, the story is based in the French Riviera and tells the tale of the hilarious exploits of two con-men and their attempts to swindle unsuspecting women into giving them their riches.

Performances will be at Saffron Walden Town Hall from Tuesday, March 6 to Saturday, March 10. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings, from 8pm-10pm, with extra rehearsals taking place on Monday evenings for principals and on Sundays closer to show week. The company welcomes people of all ages, experiences and abilities and with plenty of social events and opportunities to help raise vital funds throughout the year, it is a real community of like-minded theatre-lovers.

There will be an informal audition on Wednesday, September 27 at the Baptist Church Hall off the High Street (upstairs) at 8.15pm.
