Can you help? Saffron Walden Town Council is looking for a calligrapher! Do you have such a skill?

On May 10, the day of annual Mayor Making, Saffron Walden will also celebrate the 500th anniversary of the granting, by Henry VIII, of the town’s charter, which is permanently displayed in the museum.

In addition to much Tudor merry-making, quaffing of fine Saffron Ale and eating a huge hog, there will be an exhibition in the town hall.

The exhibition featuring local historical groups, needs a calligrapher to demonstrate the skill required to produce the Charter. If you could help, call Malcolm White on 07765 881289.
