The proprietor of a Debden pub has been made a ‘Companion of the Legion’ in recognition of her outstanding support for the local branch of the Royal British Legion.

Margaret Holland, owner of the Plough, was presented with a certificate by branch chairman Colonel (Retd) Roger Burgess.

He thanked Mrs Holland for all her efforts in connection with the branch and, in particular, for hosting pub quizzes to help raise money for the RBL
