Essex Boys and Girls Clubs are challenging families to think about how far they would be able to get in 15 hours, without any money.
It’s all in a bid to get more families entering the charity’s annual fundraising event, The Essex Jailbreak, which is on April 26 next year.
Assistant director Juliet Townsend said: “The Jailbreak is a fun event that we have run for many years and it is always open to everyone.
“Usually our boys and girls clubs enter alongside social clubs like the Rotary, Lions and Round Table, as well as groups from the police, fire brigade and armed forces. Businesses get involved too and also groups of mates who are out for a laugh.”
This year the organisation would like to see more family teams, and believes Christmas is the perfect time to start talking about ideas for raising lots of money while having fun.
“Planning ahead gives you the time to find sponsors, blag freebies, choose your charity and raise plenty of donations,” Ms Townsend added. “We’ve got lots of examples and ideas on our website, where you can also download the entry form essexboysandgirlsclubs.org.”
