FIRE: Possible arson in Saffron Walden

FIREFIGHTERS are investigating a possible arson after crews were called to Peaslands Road yesterday afternoon (Dec 1).

A crew from Saffron Walden was called to the scene behind Lord Butler Leisure Centre at around 1.30pm after five metres of conifer trees were ablaze.

The incident was dealt with by 1.50pm. Firefighters believe the cause was deliberate.
