The June meeting of Gibson WI took the form of a "hands on" meeting. Being Members' Night the meeting had been organised by Dorothy Law and her committee. Members were greeted by tables laid out with materials for mosaic craft work. Anne and Gill of Walden Workshops started the evening with a history of mosaics, then a demonstration, before members were invited to have a go. There was a pack for everyone to make a mosaic tile and materials to take home to complete it by grouting and painting the edges.

This was followed by a delicious buffet supper and time to look at the mosaics on display. Members were reminded of the President's Garden Party on July 20, and walks on June 20 and August 8.

The next meeting, on Thursday July 6, will be an outside meeting when we meet at 7.30pm in Bridge End Gardens. New members and visitors are always very welcome.
