LAW firm Hewitsons has donated money to a farming charity after a closely fought cricket match against the National Farmer’s Union (NFU).

A team from Hewitsons’ Cambridge office met with members of the Saffron Walden NFU branch in a 20 over game held at Wendens Ambo. The NFU won a tight contest in the last over of the match.

Following the match, Hewitsons donated £50 to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). The cheque was presented to RABI Cambridge Chairman Robin Lee.

For the last two years Hewitsons has been a member of the NFU’s legal panel, which provides support and professional guidance to farmers.
