Officers from the Braintree and Uttlesford Community Policing Team carried out a warrant at the address in Thaxted Road at 8am.

A total of 72 plants were found in an outbuilding in the back garden of the residential address.

Essex Police said one man, who lives at the address, is due to be voluntarily interviewed in due course on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

No arrests were made.

Officers from the Braintree and Uttlesford Community Policing Team then dismantled the plants as part of the evidence collection process.

The raid is the latest in a number of warrants executed around the town in recent months.

Essex Police raided two properties in Saffron Walden and one in Thaxted in late August last year, while an address in Byrds Farm Lane in Saffron Walden was raided in December.
