16:28 10 July 2014

Motorists have been warned to avoid a section of the M11 following a “serious” multi-vehicle crash on the M11.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision which involved a lorry and several cars. The crash has blocked the southbound carriageway between Junctions 7 and 6. The police were called at around 3.30pm.

The northbound carriageway is also being closed for the arrival of an air ambulance.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area for the next few hours.
