Pony rides, an assault course set up by soldiers from Carver Barracks and a selection of Second World War artefacts were all part of a school’s summer fete celebrations.

Hundreds of people turned out last Friday at Newport Primary School – and there was no shortage of fun things to do!

Two bouncy castles kept children entertained, while a penalty shootout, archery and a variety of craft stalls added to the excitement of the day.

The event was organised by the Friends of Newport Primary School, the Parent-Teacher Association, which is chaired by Judy Emanuel.
