It all began with X Factor winner Matt Cardle sending fans into a frenzy last Friday and continued with the amazing spectacle of 108 floats being paraded around Saffron Walden the following day.

A carnival queen has been crowned, dancing queens partied the night away to ABBA’s greatest hits, and a Queen tribute band rocked the marquee on the Common.

All it needs now is for the Queen herself to make an appearance!

Items were stolen from a shed in Harrisons, Birchanger, between noon on May 20 and 10.48am on May 23. It is believed the thieves entered via the field at the back of the garden and then broke off the padlock on the wooden shed door.
