Police are appealing for information about a knifepoint robbery in Stansted at around 8pm yesterday.

A 16-year-old boy was cycling in West Road when he was approached by a man who demanded his bike before showing him a knife.

The victim handed over his bike and walked home before police were called at around 9pm.

The bike, described as a blue and green Carrera Valour with lime green handle bars, is worth a three-figure sum. The victim was unhurt during the incident.

The suspect has been described as being white, wore a dark Puffa coat with a hood and light coloured bottoms.
