THE MASQUERADE have been crowned winners of Battle of the Bands for the second year running.
The five-piece group made up of Ben Rose, Cormac Lyons, Jack Rice, Ross Layton and Matt Hayes, all aged between 14-16, won ‘best band’ and ‘best original song’ at the competition organised by Helena Romanes School, held at the school last Thursday (January 31).
The Masquerade are already making a name for themselves in the area having performed at a Multiple Sclerosis Society fundraiser in the Foakes Hall, the Dunmow Carnival and Braintree’s Field of Dreams Festival in 2012.
