ABOUT £12,000 worth of cosmetics was stolen from Westgate department store in Saffron Walden on Monday evening.

ABOUT £12,000 worth of cosmetics was stolen from Westgate department store in Saffron Walden on Monday evening.

The thieves gained entry to the department stores by smashing a window, causing an estimated £100 of damage.

The burglary is suspected to have happened between 5.50pm on Monday and 3.30am on Tuesday and is currently being investigated by Pc Robert Townsend.
