Three people hurt in collision between bin lorry and horse box in Essex

THREE people were injured when a dustbin lorry toppled over into a ditch after a road traffic collision with a horse box.

East of England Ambulance Service crews arrived on scene at around 12.15pm this afternoon (Tuesday) to find three casualties on Epping Road in Ongar.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “Three casualties were treated in total. A horse was in the horse box but reportedly unharmed.”

Two people had suspected head and neck injuries and were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow. The remaining casualty was treated on scene for minor injuries.
