Much to the delight of residents, the spectacle saw sets of majestic horses draw the carriages down the streets, having started their journey and picked up their passengers at Audley End House.

Harking back to days gone by, the carriages were prepared in stables at the English Heritage site before being led in front of the house.

The event was provided by N&J Heavy Horses, based in Beccles, who brought along four of their prized horses including two French Percherons.

Carriages easily fit half a dozen passengers, with families and excited youngsters enjoying the ride.

No strangers to wowing crowds, the horses often perform with riders and have also recently been at the South Suffolk Show.

The company posted a video of their ride at Audley End House on their Facebook page, which can be viewed by searching N&J Heavy Horses into the search bar.
