The threat of rain and the gloomy conditions meant that bike numbers were slightly less than the two hundred-plus machines anticipated but it didn’t stop hundreds of members of Walden Bikers descending on The Old Kiora in Newport for the group’s meet.

Bike stories were exchanged, machines admired, and in the true spirit of any party, there was plenty of food available. As with every meet, the big hearted bikers dipped into their pockets to buy raffle tickets and teas, with the funds raised going to the Essex Air Ambulance. The weather may have been gloomy but it didn’t dampen their generosity, with £549.76 raised on the night, bringing the total to over £10,000 to date.
