The pupils were taking part in a five-day workshop with Bedazzle Performing Arts, which is run by Lisa Cureton and Tamara Lee Smart.

The sessions put the youngsters through their paces, with singing, dancing, and a chance to have a go at a professional recording, all before a grand finale show last week.

This year, the workshop ran alongside the centre’s pop school too, with students also mastering mic techniques and writing skills.

The show was performed in the town hall, in Saffron Walden, on July 28, full with proud parents and friends.

As well as a skip in their step, the pupils also left the venue with CDs and an iTunes link to their recorded album.
