Craig Calver got the ball rolling with a good turn past a defender in the third minute, which gave him enough space to score with a curling shot into the far corner of the goal. Two minutes later Calver hit a powerful shot which keeper Ben Vincent did well to push away, but Shaun Avis was on hand to score the rebound .

Leiston were struggling to get the ball out of their half, and in the next five minutes Jamie Solkhon headed a free-kick over the bar, Graeme Turner hit a shot over, and Calver set up Louis Harper for a fierce shot that was pushed away at full stretch by the keeper.

In the 35th minute Turner made another strong run down the right wing and crossed for Spike Bell to score from an advanced position, steering the ball past the keeper for a well executed goal.

Walden continued where they left off at the end of the first half, and Avis netted from a good cross from Harper in the 50th minute, only to have the effort disallowed for an infringement.

The pressure continued and in the 54th minute CAlver received the ball on the left , beat a defender and scored with another shot into the far corner of the goal.

Within 90 seconds of Walden’s fourth goal, substitute Rob Stephenson struck a sweet shot past Floyd Croll to make it 4-1.

With the game seemingly won, Walden made three substitutions in the 70th minute with Darren Bicknell, James Crane and Peter Davies coming on.

All three entertained with attacking intent but the score remained the same.
