BARNSTON AFC has been left without a physio following the resignation of Lloyd Upsdell.
The Paralympic gold medal winner at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, joined the club in February but has been forced to step down just seven months later due to work commitments.
In a statement released by the club, manager Lee Elliston said: “Sadly Lloyd has had to resign from his position. We are very disappointed to lose Lloyd and the committee and management would like to thank him for all his efforts and to wish him all the very best for the future.”
The club is therefore looking for Upsdell’s replacement on a voluntary basis. Duties include being with the first team on match days and an hour during the week at training.
