Saffron Walden Golf Club’s Jean Wilkinson Trophy team booked their place in the semi-finals after a 9-5 win at Bourn.

The team went into the match on the back of a resounding 12-2 victory over Old Nene earlier in the month.

Their win over Bourn places them at the top of the league table and earns their place in the semi-finals with a game still in hand.

Saffron Walden lady captain Barbara Nicoll was delighted with the outcome and thanked all the players, caddies and supporters who have worked hard to achieve this result.

The club can now look forward to the semi-finals and finals to be played at Menzies Golf Club in September.
