GOSFIELD Lake Golf Club held the Adult/Junior annual stableford competition for teams comprising one adult and one junior club member played over the club’s Lakes course.

Sixteen teams entered this popular contest and the results were as close as possible. Many teams consisted of fathers and sons although in previous years this combination has not proved successful - but this year the trend was completely reversed.

The winning pair was Robert Brown and his son Louis with a winning total of 71 points. In second place were Terry Passway and his son Gary with 70 points after count back. In third place was Simon Chandler with Joe Maynard.

The best stableford score on the front nine was by junior member Oliver Page with 22 points and the best score of 24 points on the back nine was by junior member Gary Passway.

The prizes were presented by the club’s junior captain Mitchell Edey, the Master of Ceremonies and organiser on the day was John Harkus, junior chairman.
