Trailing by a point in the dying moments of the game, Max Malins kept a cool head to kick his side into the last four of the competition.

The tie did not get off to the start Felsted had wanted, or expected. An early penalty by Sheldon was followed by a yellow card for Felsted, who were reduced to 14 men. Sheldon capitalised by adding 10 points and taking a 13-point lead into the break.

With it all to play for in the second half and the wind at their backs, Felsted sprung to life and an early try from Charlie Wood narrowed the deficit to eight points.

Will Brown then touched down, and Malins converted, to bring Felsted within one point with just over 15 minutes to play.

As time counted down Felsted were on the cusp of exiting the tournament but Malins kicked a penalty in the last minute and the defence held firm to put them one win away from the final at Twickenham.

Felsted will travel to Broadstreet RFC on March 3 for the semi final match.
