Saffron Walden first team players will get the “once in a lifetime opportunity” of playing at a world-class stadium when they play at the home of premier league club Saracens.

Walden – who are currently second in London 2NE after a series of spectacular wins – are eagerly looking forward taking to the Allianz Park pitch against Enfield Ignatians on March 1.

Both Walden and Enfield are part of the Saracens Community Program and benefit from a number of initiatives run by the premier league club’s development team, one of which is the opportunity to play at the state-of-the-art stadium.

Walden first team captain Adam Miles said: “This is a probably a once in a life-time opportunity for the majority of us to play at a world-class stadium.

“We want to make Saffron Walden proud.”

And team manager Graham Marshall added: “The game should prove to be closely matched as Enfield Ignatians are only four places behind Saffron Walden in the league. Encouragement from the crowd will make all the difference on the night to our boys, so please come along and support them.”

The club is keen to encourage as many people as possible to go and support the team, and will be running coaches from the town at £10 per ticket. Entry to the game is free and kick off is at 7.30pm.
