Wendens Ambo U11 made their annual to tour Norwich over the weekend – and they put in a performance to cap a brilliant end to a most successful season.

First up were West Norfolk. Wendens led 1-0 through an Oisin Murphy try, and the team came to life in the second half and scored a further five tries, another two from Murphy and one each from Hector Lovell, Olly Morgan and Oliver Davies.

In the second game, against Norwich, Wendens coasted to an 8-0 win with Hunter White, Morgan Evans, Morgan and Harry Vincent West each scoring, and Lovell and Davies both scoring twice.

Diss were the final pool opposition in a close match and Wendens scored two tries through Davies and Archie Fraser.

Wendens progressed to the final and met Southwold. They controlled the game with maturity and confidence to secure a 4-1 win, Powell, Murphy and Davies (twice) all scoring.
