Saffron Dynamos ground out a 2-0 victory over an improving and useful Finchingfield side to complete there second double of the season and in the process moved up to joint top spot for the first time since the team’s formation in 2009.

hey started well, taking a 2-0 lead after just 24 minutes.

The first came from forward Dan Clark on 16 minutes. He put in a great cross shot from 20 yards on the right wing which evaded every one, including the visiting keeper who had no time to react, as it nestled in the far bottom corner.

Then on 24 minutes leading marksman Sam Mitchell finished off a four player passing move.

It looked like the Dynamos, wearing their new kit sponsored by The Mogul, would take control with more goals, but the visitors stood firm while looking to make a breakthrough themselves.

Despite creating some useful chances, Dynamos could not grab the third.

They host Balsham Res this Saturday at Carver Barracks, 2pm kick off.
