Saffron Walden youth netball round up

U16

Saffron Hawks 36 Brookshaw 20

A very comprehensive win by the Hawks. They got of to a flyer with the Ella Sanders in inspired form and hardly missing a shot. The mid-court play can was very crisp and quick with Mima Wells, Fiona Kerr and Rebecca Rees dominating all areas.

Laura Sarkane and Poppy Phillips kept the defence very tight. The Hawks therefore continued their impressive form with another good win.

Player-of-the-match was Fiona Kerr.

U11

Saffron Hawks 18 Flames 18

A Great game of netball saw two top teams produced some outstanding play. The Hawks’ attacking play was a very high standard for their age. Stephanie Dunlop and Ashleigh Cowling were able to produce some excellent moves and their movement off the ball was lovely to watch.

The game never had a few goals between them, and they both teams came out with a well deserved draw.

Player-of-the-match was Ashleigh Cowling.

U14

Hawks A 32 Hawks B 14

A proud day for Hawks as a game that saw first play third. A very tight game that wasn’t reflected in the score, both teams played with great spirit and though it was highly contested is was played with great sportsmanship.

The Hawks A team where just a little more incisive with their attacking, and a little meaner in defence.

Player-of-the-match was Chloe Starr.
