Wendens Ambo U7 entered the prestigious Stinger Cup, run by Premiership club London Wasps for some of the leading clubs in the south.

Wendens Warriors, the county cup holders, won their pool comfortably, beating Abbey 9-6, Phoenix 4-2 and Amersham 6-2. In the semi-final they beat Windsor 5-1 putting them into the final against Marlow, which was played at half time in the Wasps versus Gloucester game held at Twickenham.

Undaunted, the boys marched out in front of 35,000 people and played the shortened exhibition match, winning 2-1. A tremendous performance, fast ball movement and rushing defence proving decisive. The squad comprised Jed Bailey, Ned Caton, William Crabb, Tom Dyster, Jake Mason and Ben Scott-Priestley.

Wendens Knights won one pool game to put them into the shield semi-final, narrowly losing to Abbey. In the vase final, also at Twickenham, the boys rallied and put on their performance of the season to win 6-3. Playing for the Knights were Fin Bushell, Alex Bull, Noah Poulter, Edward Cooke, Charlie Kinsey, Elliot Richley-Jones.
