A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to in connection with a burglary in Newbiggen Street, Thaxted, at around 2.30am on Thursday, March 2. An upstairs window was forced open and a five-figure sum of cash was stolen.
Two notices were removed from outside the victim’s house in Well Green Close, Saffron Walden, and were burnt on a small pile of charcoal next to the victim’s garden fence. No damage was caused to the fence. The incident between 5pm on February 3 and 4.30pm on February 4.
The outer pane of a small toilet window at a house in Carters Croft, Ashdon, was smashed between 10pm on December 23 and 9.50am on December 24. Damage was also caused to a window in Carters Croft at around 6.15am on December 28.
Criminal damage was caused to a Ford KA, which was parked in Upper Mill Field, Great Dunmow, between 8pm and 10.45pm on December 2. Scratches were caused to the back of the car, and both the driver’s and passenger side doors.

Jewellery and watch items were stolen from a house in Radwinter Road, Ashdon, after a burglary between 6am on August 6 and 4pm on August 20. Thieves gained entry via a window and caused damage to the window frame before searching upstairs bedrooms. They also entered the garage via a double glazed window.
An attempt was made to break into a house in Henham between 3.30pm on August 7 and 10am on August 8. The suspect tried to force the front door and the Yale lock was broken, but the bolts remained in place. No entry was gained.
