ARTWORK by children from three schools is to go on display in a joint exhibition at the Thaxted Guildhall.
Thaxted Primary School has been working on the theme of ‘Awe and Wonder’ and their work will be on display in the council chamber.
Friends School, Saffron Walden, will be exhibiting a selection of A-Level and GCSE work along with some work specially-aimed at the exhibition from last term’s Year 9 pupils.
This will be on display on the top floor of the Guildhall alongside artwork and photography from current and former Helena Romanes School students.
Cindy Singleton, acting head of Art and Design at HRS, said: “We are delighted to have been given this opportunity to display our talented students’ work. It is really nice to be collaborating with other local schools.”
Serena O’Connel, head of Art at Friends, said: “We are busy preparing for this exhibition and are really excited about using this wonderful building.”
The exhibition will be open to the public over two weekends: October 6-7 and October 13-14 from 11am to 5pm. Admission is free.
