FROM the Olympics to Buckingham Palace and now Great Dunmow – an artist who is rapidly becoming one of the most prolific and collectable of his generation is returning to the Aubrey Art Gallery for the third successive year.
Following his success as an official BT Olympic artist, Jeremy Houghton’s Proud to be British exhibition will be running at the gallery, on Post Office Yard, from March 2 to April 27.
Jeremy, whose career as a full-time painter began in 2005, was the official artist for London Fashion Week in 2007.
He painted the Queen in 2009, has had solo exhibitions at some of the world’s premier galleries – including The Saachi Gallery and The Everard Read gallery – and has collections on display at Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace and The Royal Collective of Luxembourg.
Jeremy’s individual style depicts various aspects of traditional British cultural activities.
A preview evening of his work will be held on Friday March 1 from 7-9pm.
