Half Of A Yellow Sun (15)

A well-acted adaptation of the much-loved novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche charting the fortune of two sisters caught up in the aftermath of Nigeria’s independence. Thandie Newton and Anika Noni Rose shine as the twins, following different paths – and Chiwetel Ejiofor is excellent as the firebrand academic. Not as intricate or deep as the novel, but a beautiful adaptation made entirely on location.
