Wethersfield Music Festival, a free event with seven bands will be on Wethersfield playing field, on Saturday, June 2.

This is the fifth year of the charity event, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK. Last year’s event raised £1,400 for the Make a Wish charity and previous years were in aid of Addenbrooke’s Hospital Brain Tumour charity, Essex Air Ambulance and Macmillan.

This year’s bands are the Disraeli Band (pop and blues), Beyond the Lights rock band, singer Joshua R, Ella Hayes country singer, Rendezvous (80s pop), Beer Valley Drifters (country), Another Loud Sunday (90s pop), Poontang, (American folk and country) and rock band, The Stents.

The family fun day will include a licensed bar, a clay pizza oven, barbecue with sausages and burgers, big inflatables including Zorb Balls, inflatable balls that people can get inside, side shows and a raffle with prizes including spa days, photo shoots and retail vouchers.
