Granta Chorale to sing at St Mary’s Church, Linton

A choir evening with songs including Over the Rainbow, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and Moon River as well as ancient and classical music will be presented by Granta Chorale on Saturday, October 21.

The concert, called Gather the Good Days is at St Mary’s Church, Linton. Proceeds will go to the Friends of St Mary’s for the medieval church and there will be a retiring collection for Alzheimer’s Research UK,

Granta Chorale, with musical director composor Janet Wheeler, recently celebrated their 10th anniversary. They will present a selection from their varied repertoire. Along with music by Henry VIII, Henry Purcell, Bob Chilcott and the American composer Lauridsen, the choir sings music by Janet including pieces commissioned by the family of the late Barbara Tealby in her memory.
