An additional act has been confirmed for the Saffron Walden Carnival ‘Final Night Party’.

The events team had announced last month that it completed its 16 month mission and booked the final act for the ‘8 day weekend’. But, following the great success in sales, the team has decided to invest more to make the event, on Saturday, July 12, one to really remember.

Nik Kershaw will be performing on the night, singing sone of his favourite songs in a solo acoustic music set.

Kershaw, who has appeared on the 8dayweekender stage before, has had many hits and is celebrating 30 years in the business with his own tour, called Me, Myself and I.

Dean Head, carnival events manager, said: “Sales have been that good we wanted to add something different into the mix, and after Nik’s performance at the last carnival is was a easy decision.

“So the final night line-up on Saturday, July 12 has just got even better for us and we look forward to have a great party night!”

Purchase tickets from 8dayweekend.co.uk, the Carnival Caravan in the market square or the ticket office on the common.
