THE first of the Lunchtime Concerts at St Mary’s Parish Church features the Organist Martyn Noble - who has been described as “one of the best organists of his generation”.

The church is delighted to welcome him to Saffron Walden on Wednesday May 2.

He has agreed to play the usual 1.10–1.40pm recital, there will then be a short break and Marytn will resume with an additional 30 minutes of organ playing.

A former Organ Scholar at Liverpool Cathedral, Martyn is now a student at the Royal College of Music, and also has successfully completed his LRSM in organ.

He has just been appointed Organ Scholar of Southwark Cathedral, beginning in September this year.

All the Lunchtime Series are free with a retiring collection for Music at St Mary’s.
