Rock Choir is inviting thousands of amateur singers to rehearse to be part of a huge chorus that will fill London’s O2 Arena in July, 2013. Rehearsals start next Tuesday (Sept 18) in the Dourdan Pavilion and run every week, except December, until March 5.

Rock Choir leader Daniel Ribbits is looking forward to helping members prepare for the exciting mass-concert.

“Members will be learning a repertoire of songs from artists such as Adele, Annie Lennox, the Bee Gees, Rihanna, Tina Turner and ABBA,” said Mr Ribbits.

“Everyone gets to take part in the O2 concert, including any new members who join who join between now and July. We also have lots more exciting shows and events planned in the local community.”

The London concert follows last year’s sell-out Wembley Arena event, which featured in the popular ITV1 documentary ‘The Choir That Rocks’. Over 10,000 members had a day of singing and celebration, as well as helping to support Refuge and Missing People.

“As well as helping to improve your singing voice and health, being in Rock Choir is a great way of having fun and making new friends – plus as you can see, we get to enjoy some pretty amazing experiences. If you love singing, Rock Choir is the choir to be part of,” added Mr Ribbits

Rock Choir was the first amateur contemporary choir in the UK. Unlike more traditional choirs or choral societies there are no auditions and no requirements to read music.
