Students and staff at Saffron Walden County High School are in the final stages of rehearsal for West Side Story – their first large-scale musical in the new Saffron Hall.

However, they’ve come up against a slight problem... the show requires a jukebox, which features in the scenes set in Doc’s Drug Store.

Could you help? Do you have a period (1950–1960) jukebox that you’d be prepared to lend the school so they can make the finishing touches to what they’re hoping will be a spectacular and memorable show?

If so, they’d love to hear from you. Contact the reception (01799 513030) and someone will get straight back to you.

The show runs from March 25-28. Tickets are available from Saffron Hall or the Tourist Information Centre in the Market Square, priced at £4 for children/students and £7 for adults.
