What’s on: Songs for Soprano from Bach to Britten at Lunchtime Concert in Saffron Walden

THE Lunchtime Concert at St Mary’s Church on Wednesday (May 30) at 1.10pm features Sue Sylvester-Bradley and Janet Evans.
Sue has been a choral singer and soloist since childhood. She studies with Barbara Large and currently sings as a choral member and occasional soloist with Granta Chorale, Saffron Walden Choral Society and St Mary’s Church Choir.
She will be accompanied by Janet Evans on piano, who many will remember as the organiser of the Saffron Walden area primary schools’ annual music festival. More recently she was the highly regarded accompanist and deputy musical director of Saffron Walden Choral Society.
As usual, sandwiches will be on sale from 12.30pm. and the concert is free with a retiring collection.
