THE Walden Buskers will be playing live at The Dog & Duck in Linton on Saturday (September 15) to kick off their 30th season together.
The band - made up of Peter Savic (singer), Michael Snow (accordion), Tim Penn (flutes, whistles, pipes) and Dom Bonito (guitar, banjo) - have been together for over three decades playing English, Irish, Scottish, international traditional songs and tunes throughout east Anglia at various events and functions, from masonic, charity and golf club dinners to harvest suppers, concerts, weddings, parties and pubs. They have also busked in the street for charity.
Their spiritual home is The Kings Arms in Saffron Walden where they ran a folk club for many years.
Peter Savic said: “Come and join us in a fine old pub in Linton and enjoy some good old music and wash it down with local ales and great food.”
The music starts at 8.30pm.
