Musicians are invited to take part in a 'magical mystery tour' across Saffron Walden in this year's Fete de la Musique.

Applications for acts will be accepted until April 22, with the event taking place on Sunday, June 23.

Musicians, choirs and bands will perform across Saffron Walden, covering rock, salsa, big bands, jazz, pop, classical, Latin and more.

More than 60 acts are already scheduled to perform, including folk artist Sheri Kershaw, who was the first to sign up and has performed at every fete.

Fairycroft Arts and Media Centre will also feature rock music across two stages.

The Market Square will host the Reavey Brothers' fusion of blues, soul and pop tunes, and also give visitors the chance to have a go at Morris dancing.

There will also be a performance from the Garden Project, established by Joanna Eden and composed of talented students from Saffron Walden County High School.

The group recently appeared at Saffron Hall in collaboration with the Grand Union Orchestra, and are expected to perform at the almshouses during the fete.

The Fete will host events across 10 venues with free entry to all performances.
