THAT'S jolly for Cllr Dean (No change for majority, September 28) when he tells us how his household has recycled for years. My household has too.
We have supported every recycling initiative the council has introduced from composters to kerbside collections. Our weekly non-recyclable household waste used to half-fill a domestic dustbin, which resided unobtrusively in a corner of our back garden.
However, Cllr Dean appears to inhabit a house with a garden large enough to accommodate the three large plastic eyesores, which I discovered in my back garden on my return from holiday.
Perhaps this smug "people's representative" should apply his mind to trying to hide the three wheelie bins which currently dominate my 20' x 30' garden.
I realise this makes me sound like a Nimby. It is not that I mind giving some of my back yard to recycling, it is a matter of what proportion is reasonable.
