WALKING past the London Road Council Offices on Saturday morning (November 25), I noticed only 10 cars parked there at 10.30am.
This has never been a successful money-making scheme since its inception. Even with weddings, it has never been full. So why don't councillors put on their Santa hats and allowing Saturdays in December to be free parking?
This will alleviate the dreadful parking issues of the moment and boost much-needed trade for the town. Don't dilly-dally, just make a quick executive decision and see how wonderful you will all feel!
