CLLR Alan Dean (Postbag, September 28) implied that there had been "no change" with the introduction of wheelie bins and that it's a minority who are complaining - those who "are slow to join the growing majority".

I would have thought the growing majority are the people who are unhappy how 'diktats' originating from unelected, foreign bureaucrats in the EU Commission are increasingly impinging on our lives (the introduction of this new wheelie bin system stems from the EU).

However, as Alan Dean represents the Liberal Democrats whose policy is to slavishly obey anything emanating from the EU, then one would, of course, expect nothing other than his complete compliance and satisfaction with the new system.
