IT IS high time that the prices of petrol and diesel on offer to customers at Tesco in Saffron Walden are consistently the same as those at Tesco in Bishop's Stortford, for each time I purchase petrol there it has always been cheaper.
A few days ago, on my return journey from London, I purchased petrol at Tesco Bishops Stortford and it was 85.9p per litre, but on the same night the price at Tesco Saffron Walden was 89.5p per litre, which equates to about £2 more per average car tank full.
Tesco's prices for food, wine and other items are the same at both Tesco stores, so why are local people being discriminated against with this extra cost of fuel?
I trust our local Tesco supermarket manager will take this on board on behalf of his many loyal customers, to ensure that in future Saffron Waldeners get the same fair deal on fuel prices, not just on odd occasions, but all the time.
