On behalf of Uttlesford Crossroads Caring for Carers, may I thank everybody who supported, arranged and took part in all the fundraising events over the Christmas period.
We raised £137 at our late night shopping stall, £1,740 at our Christmas lunch, £753 from carol singing outside Tesco and we hope to have raised more than £800 from our sale of Christmas puddings.
This money is essential to our running costs and not just the icing on the cake. It costs about £58 to give a carer a break for four hours.
